Ingredients
For the cake batter:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- ½ cup curd or milk-based eggless substitute
- ¼ cup oil
- ½ cup milk, as required
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp vanilla essence
- A pinch of salt
For soaking and layering:
- Sugar syrup or chocolate milk
- Chocolate cream or whipped cream
- Chocolate ganache
- Chocolate chips or curls for garnish
Method
- In a bowl, sieve all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix sugar, oil, curd or eggless substitute, milk, and vanilla essence until smooth.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix gently to make a smooth batter.
- Pour the batter into a greased and lined cake tin.
