Ingredients
For the dough:
- ½ cup millet flour
- ¼ cup besan
- ¼ cup rice flour or jowar flour
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- ½ tsp ajwain
- ¼ tsp turmeric powder
- ½ tsp red chilli powder
- ½ tsp roasted cumin powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp oil or ghee
- Water as required
For finishing:
- Oil or ghee for brushing
- Chaat masala, optional
Method
- In a bowl, mix millet flour, besan, rice flour or jowar flour, sesame seeds, ajwain, turmeric, red chilli powder, roasted cumin powder, and salt.
- Add oil or ghee and rub it well into the flour mixture until it feels crumbly.
- Add water little by little and make a firm dough.
- Rest the dough for 10–15 minutes.
- Roll the dough into a thin sheet using dry flour if needed.
- Cut into small diamond shapes or strips.
- Place them on a greased or lined baking tray.
- Brush lightly with oil or ghee.
- Bake in a preheated oven until crisp and lightly golden.
- Cool completely before storing in an airtight jar.
