Ingredients
For the hummus:
- 1 cup boiled chickpeas
- 2 tbsp tahini paste
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1–2 garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt to taste
- ÂĽ tsp roasted cumin powder
- 2–3 tbsp chilled water, as required
For garnish:
- Olive oil
- Paprika or red chilli powder
- Boiled chickpeas
- Fresh parsley or coriander
- Sesame seeds, optional
Method
- Add boiled chickpeas, tahini paste, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, salt, and roasted cumin powder to a blender.
- Blend until the mixture starts becoming smooth.
- Add chilled water little by little and blend again until the hummus becomes creamy and light.
- Taste and adjust salt, lemon juice, or garlic as required.
- Transfer to a serving bowl and spread neatly using the back of a spoon.
- Drizzle olive oil on top.
